The San Isidro bull fights have been cancelled this year after 3 bullfighters in a row were gored by the beasts they were fighting. Bullfighting continues to draw criticism from many animal rights groups; however, attempts to ban it have been shunned by the government, as they upgraded it to 'traditional cultural heritage status' last year to prevent it from being banned in the future. Do you think there is a place for bullfighting in modern Spain?

Some have questioned the legitimacy of the European Union, citing low voter turnout and the fact that Eurosceptic parties received a disproportionately high number of votes. An exam board in the United Kingdom has announced that they are going to drop two American novels from their curriculum. “To Kill a Mockingbird” and “Of Mice and Men” are going to be replaced by British works after complaints that there were not enough novels by British authors in the curriculum. On Saturday, Real Madrid won their tenth Champions League final after defeating Atlético de Madrid 4-1 in Lisbon. Some were critical of the referee for adding 5 minutes of extra time at the end of the match, during which Real Madrid came back and went on to win the game.
